Cool, Rainy Day
Last night we went to Cherry Hill Orchard. We texted one of my work friend's Sarah Newhall, to see if she and her husband Kevin would like to meet up with us and bring their son Jacob with them. They accepted and we met up at the ice cream place around 7:30. I have seen Jacob probably once every three months for his entire life, including one time in a ridiculously cute Halloween costume (he went as a snail, complete with shell and everything). Sarah has been incredibly helpful with baby questions--she is the human embodiment of baby knowledge, sort of a mom wikipedia. She sent us a series of nine emails when we first found out we were pregnant on baby products and I used them as a guide. They were invaluable. Better than any other advice we received from books and magazines. Jacob was super cute, toddling around with a big boy hair cut. We looked around for a baby Abraham, to complete the Biblical Patriarchs (the name of Jacob and Isaac's band when the grow up), but there were none, as Abraham seems to have fallen out of use (183 in 2009 according to SSI). It would be awesome if Jacob and Isaac grew up being friends.

Today though was a lazy, cold day. What do to? It is Sunday, it is raining out and it is about 65 degrees? Well, we decided to spend the day staring at and playing with Isaac. He is very entertaining, you know. We iChatted twice with Nanna and G-Daddy, including once when GGs were present as well as Uncle Rob and Auntie Monica (with a swell hat). Isaac had some more push up tummy time. It was a nice, quiet day.

Wanna see something amazing? AND Our Little Naturalist
This post is a twofer, hence the two titles.

So last night Bianca was doing some quiet time with Isaac and decided to put him on his belly. Then, like a cobra being coaxed out of a basket by a snake charmer, he slowly, unsteadily, lifted his head. And then he held it there for a few minutes, quick enough for Dad to bound down the stairs, grab the nearest recording device, and then bound back up the stairs skipping three at a time. I managed to arrive just in time to catch this amazing feat on video.

Behold:

Our trip into Walden Pond and historic Concord, Massachusetts was awesome. It was a gleaming late summer day, around 80. The Pond itself was as clear as could be and sprinkled around its entire perimeter were people swimming. The flowers and the trees were idyllic and it is easy to see how this place inspired Henry David Thoreau and countless others that have visited it since. It is really a special place. We had a good time, and Isaac was awake for most of the walk. Unfortunately, at the very end he started to doze. This was the result:

After the hike we went into Concord for lunch and ate at a great little sandwich place, Main Street Market and Cafe, which had delicious ROASTED French Fries. They tested like regular fries with a bit more of that "roasted in the oven potato" taste. GREAT. We need to add these to the list of fries that Auntie Monica has to try when she comes out here. Already on the list: Via's Truffle Fries (which are the greatest fries I have ever had). Isaac sat outside and stared at the sapphire blue sky while Mom and Dad ate a nice little lunch. He was equally transfixed by the bubble machine that populated the little winding alley with iridescent jeweled spheres. It is really amazing watching his reactions to new things. Overall, perhaps the best day, among many best days this summer. It was a classic TB&I Adventure.

New Videos
Two new videos:

First, Isaac in his gym, which he loves, now that he can see and track objects:

Note that this one is not ruined at the end with a big poop, like the last one.

Second, Isaac apparently dreams of boobies. Here is the evidence (wait until around 17 seconds):
