No DNA test necessary--that's my boy.
There are certain traits that we pass along and we know the instant we see them.  Isaac makes a "get down and boogy" face that is totally mine, but tonight it was something else.

There are times when people, inadvertently, or in some cases, on purpose, um...make noises...and amongst men or least my peers it is sometimes seen as humorous.  Well, tonight I was reading stories when...um....yeah, it happened.  And Isaac looked up from the cuddling embrace of his mom and let out a belly laugh.

Then he applauded.

Yep, definitely my boy.

Isaac and Dad 4 day weekend
He is a lot of work.  He gets into everything.  He wants to see everything up close and personal, even the toilet.  He has added a whole range of new grunts and screams to ensure he gets what he wants.  And at the end of the day, your exhausted.  But it is all worth it.  Every scream and every toilet splash.

Because of a quirk in the schedule I got to be with Isaac Anthony pretty much all day, every day for the past four days.  Bianca had class on Friday and Monday and was under the weather on Saturday.  So it was Dad and the little guy for four straight days with Mom hanging and helping on Sunday.  It was completely awesome and a privilege to see him in his full glory for that many days in a row.

We did a bunch of stuff--playground, Coggshall, and Bass Pro Shop (which is a great place for kids).

and Bass Pro Shop's giant fireplace:

He loved the giant fireplace, the stuffed game, and the HUGE fish tank. Here he is at the fish tank:

Here he is at the toy gun rack (I swear I did not promote this. He found it and loved it all on his own. It must be genetic for all little boys because there was a crowd of toddlers all with mothers that had worn expressions and fathers with that secret, but not secret grin of glee and a "dash of I told you so"):

New Videos
I added a few September videos to the list, the first videos since the MASSIVE vacation update from the grandparents. I find this one especially funny:

This one is pretty funny too (check for the watery eyed pauses about five and ten seconds in):
