UCCRE
Tonight Isaac, Mom, and Dad took a walk that was supposed to end at St Bernard, but instead took a detour to the train tracks down behind the house.  There, like a snoring, snorting, sleeping giant lay a massive six engine cargo train.  We were no more than twenty feet away and it would occasionally let out a grunt or bellow and Isaac would squeal.  He sat on my shoulders or Bianca's for at least 20 minutes just staring at the massive locomotive.  It never took off, but a smaller (but still MASSIVE) commuter rail train whizzed by to Isaac's delight.  As we were making our way out of the parking lot next to the tracks, we saw a semi and he tooted his horn for Isaac, not once, but twice.  It was an awesome evening walk and a truly unprecedented choo-choo related event (UCCRE).

Egg-stravaganza
So Easter was two weekends ago, but last week all of my down time was consumed by a finnicky router, so this post is a bit late.  The Easter Bunny showed up and dropped off some good stuff for the I-man, including a John Deere push mower, which happens to be his favorite toy at school (so much so that they had to "retire" it after Isaac refused to share).  Here he is finding the Easter morning mother load:

The easter egg hunt was a slow and protracted affair, in part because the Easter Bunny hid them in very hard places such as:

The other Easter Bunny hid (recognizing that the definition of "hide" is stretched to its limits in this example) them in more age appropriate places:

Isaac was also not terribly thrilled with the eggs' contents.  He would have preferred them to be loaded with yogurt covered raisins.  Instead some had money in them.  Note his forlorn expression:

Finally, here Isaac is with his Easter stuff from Poppa Dom and Nanni:

All in all he had a great morning, even if the egg hunt wasn't the most exciting thing. One year to go. Next year he'll go crazy.

Sparkle Bike
A few days ago Isaac had a tough time going to school.  His teeth were bothering him.  He woke up hungry (not because he didn't eat, though, this kid has been eating like a horse).  And he was just about inconsolable.  So when he put one of his stickers on me and he smiled I wasn't about to take it off.  But as he left for the day he patted the sticker and said "Stay."  I promised him it would.  Here is Sparkle Bike in all its glory:

I wore it in court and through the entire day.  We he got home, it was barely hanging on.  He looked at me, I showed him my hand and he saw the sticker.  Then he smiled and peeled it off.  It was totally worth it.
