Live blogging Isaac and Dad's day
This is an experiment.  I updated Blogger every time we changed activities so here is a real time account of Isaac and Dad's day:

7:30-7:55: Dad and Isaac go to a big parking lot and Isaac drives the car.

8:00-8:25: Isaac and Dad work on Lego fort to protect guys from dinos.

8:25-9:20: Isaac and dad play in the sandbox and in the backyard.

9:20-9:45: go to bank for cashiers check and get munchkins at DD.

9:45- 10:20: play at playground, a crummy one.

10:20-10:46: go home, make a pitstop, get call from Subaru dealer--car is ready.

10:50-11:30: do financing and new car intro at Subaru dealer, Isaac names the new car Limo (pronounced "LEE mo).  He was super good while I was doing all of the paperwork.

11:30-12:00: drive around like stunt drivers in the new car while talking to P-Pa over the car Bluetooth.

12-12:30: eat lunch of Veggie mix and Banana Chocolate Smoothie.

12:30-1: read stories including Green Eggs and Ham and both Pout, Pout fish books.

1:00-3:06: nap, much to Dad's chagrin....

3:07-3:10: cuddle Isaac as he woke up; once he woke up he demanded to a) put on his Lightning McQueen jammies; and b) go down and sit in Limo.

LIGHTNING MCQUEEN JAMMIES ARE ON FROM HERE

3:10-3:45: rock out in Limo with Isaac behind the wheel and Dad in the passenger seat.  Dad was programming the radio and Isaac was dancing.  This was one of those amazingly cute "I will never forget this" moments.  You should be jealous you weren't there, because it was awesome.

3:45-4:00: make "GG-style" popcorn in the hot air popper (he was worried at first, but then thought it was AWESOME).  I cut up his string cheese strips into little cubes and then microwaved the whole thing hence "GG-style".

4:01-4:45: Isaac eats his body weight in popcorn while chillaxing and watching Ratatouille with Dad.  It hit around 95 on the thermometer so we ducked the heat indoors for a bit.

4:45: Mommy comes home.  World is put back on its correct axis.

4:46-5:10: Mom, Dad, and Isaac hope in Limo and go to the store to buy a small can of corn beef hash because we are doing BREAKFAST FOR DINNER (which everyone likes, hence the ALL CAPS)!

5:10-5:40: Isaac and Mom work on the waffles while Dad handles the hash and the syrup for BREAKFAST FOR DINNER!

5:45:-6:00: Watch some more Ratatouille.

6:00-7:15: Isaac and Dad work intently on anti-dino fort on the Lego side of the train table.

7:15: Go upstairs for bath and bed.

7:15-7:40: Isaac sits on potty and reads Once Upon a Potty with Dad, then Mom, Dad, and Isaac all help Isaac take a bath.

LIGHTNING MCQUEEN JAMMIES FINALLY COME OFF

7:45-7:50 Isaac gets a night time diaper and jammies on; Mom reads Isaac stories as Dad goes and gets bagels for tomorrow morning (we have a busy day so we are front loading a little bit).

8:00: Isaac floats off to dreamland.

Dad had one of his best days in a long time, as Isaac only days are really a recharge (unless he is sick).  It was super fun to get a new car with a little guy.

Good night Limo.

Clarking with Isaac
So our trip to Philly was a huge hit, but as with most things in life surrounding a two year old, it is not always the predictable things that he liked, though he did enjoy the dinos.  On Sunday we did some major tourist things, going to the Rocky Steps in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, then to City Hall, all the way to the Liberty Bell, and then to the famous Geno's Steaks.

Here we are at the Rocky Statute:

Here is Isaac not really caring about the Liberty Bell:

And here is the attraction that Isaac actually liked, Sister City Park:

It was originally designed as a place for kids to launch little tiny sail boats but they quickly learned that the kids liked running in the water instead of playing around the water. Isaac ran in the water practically every day we were in Philly.  It was a great place to relax and play.
