Charging
Imagine you are a little kid.  You walk around watching adults take out little cards, swipe them, and then get whatever it is you want.  Card, swipe, cool stuff.  Isaac sees this almost every day as we are not "cash and carry" folks.  I usually have no more than a few random dollars in my wallet, along with my credit card.

Well, after watching this pattern again and again, Isaac has started asking for cards to swipe.  He swipes them on everything--playground equipment here.  And this time he tells me what he buys.

No sure what the high pitched whine is, he usually reserves that for his weedwhacker noise.

Wasabi
Isaac really, really loves crackers.  We try to limit the snacks to nothing worse than Baked Cheetos and even they are a special treat, so mostly he has a thing for crackers.  Well this weekend Bianca got some Wasabi flavored crackers and despite our warnings, Isaac persisted in wanting one.  We gave him one, with water and a napkin on stand by and despite all appearances to the contrary he loved it.  He asked for another and another.  Seeing him go through the process of eating one a few times inspired me to get a video of this.  Seriously, you'd think he'd never want to see another wasabi cracker again after this video, but he finished the box.

He has an amazingly tough pallete or he is wickedly stubborn.  Given who his parents are I am fairly certain it is the latter.

You try it...
It is a miracle that Isaac does not survive solely on a diet of candy and goldfish.  He has gotten so effective, so compelling with his urgent requests that we have an increasingly difficult time saying no.  After all this is how almost all of the requests start:

Note the faint whiff of a smile on his face and the excited, expectant, and overly hopeful eyes. At this point he hasn't even started in with all of the "Please, please, pleases."

So next time your around and he asks you for something, try saying no.  It is getting harder every day.
