It is ON!
Isaac has caught a fever, a fever that originates a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.  He caught it bad.  First it was watching the movies, then it was the arrival of my old AT-AT from Ohio (it is more than 30 years old and still works quite well, thank you very much).  Then it was the Clone Wars TV show, which is just fantastic (boy is kids TV so much better now than when I was a kid; Super Friends is awful and let's not even mention the Star Wars Holiday Special).

To officially cement his status as a true Star Wars fan he often introduces himself total strangers by telling them that he was watched Star Wars.  He then asks them if they have watched Star Wars, many of whom say they have.

But the height of the fever thus far is best seen here:

He is my Padawan learner for sure.

I am here to PUMP YOU UP
Well, we had our first ultrasound with Pistachio and it went swimmingly.  He is on pace for all of his growth measurements and he looked 100% healthy (boy does Bianca make great babies).  Isaac went with us and got to see his baby brother for the first time and while he was excited, it was a long doctor's visit.  Still, he was, as usual, a good kid.  We got to see him moving and his little heart beating.  It was truly amazing.

But then we got to see something that totally blew my mind.  The last time we did this with Isaac the ultrasounds were good--something better than constellations, but a far cry from HD video.  But with technology improvements since Isaac we got this image:

As you can see, little Pistachio is pumping iron!  Look at his little right arm.  The quality here is amazing.  You can see the arms and the eyes and the head...everything.  It blew all of us away.  What a great picture of our soon to be new little guy.

Wake Up Mom and Dad
At around 5:00 AM last Friday we had a little belly ninja kicking and rolling.  Bianca had woken up because she went to bed early the night before, but she then woke me up and put my hand on her belly.  No matter the fact that five years ago we were doing the same thing Isaac, feeling a baby move for the first time is pretty darn incredible.

Pistachio moved earlier than his big brother and he was quite active.  I can only imagine what this means going forward.  I am not sure I can take wrestling two boys at once, as Isaac's double kick is pretty strong right now.

Yay Pistachio!
