World Champion Headlifter and Big Mother Trucker Isaac

This morning Isaac was doing great in tummy time, lifting his head almost completely perpendicular to the ground. It was awesome, given that only a week ago or so he learned to lift up his head. Here is a great picture:

How is that for progress?

Yesterday we went back to Walden Pond for another trip, this time to Heywood's Meadow. It was again, simply beautiful. The Mass people have done a great job balancing the need to preserve the place with the need to allow it to be used. Isaac, of course, took a cat nap through the bulk of the hike. But before he sawed some logs, he and Dad played around in the driver's seat of the Subaru. Here we are (warning: simulated swearing and obscene gestures):

After our Pond adventure we came home and chillaxed. Dad made kebobs on the grill (with Mom's help) using the greatest grill tool in the world for kebobs: Firewire grilling skewers. They were a gift from Nancy and Dom for father's day and we finally have the hang of them. The learning curve is a bit steeper than I thought, but they work wonders.

Once dinner was over it was time for Dad and Isaac to do some drag racing. Dad should have known better because it was around 7:00 PM and his new schedule has him going to bed at 7:30-8:00. We did drag race for about 30 minutes, or until Dad lost his voice. Unfortunately Isaac would have none of it and was in SUPER EXCITED, leg pumping mode for about 30 minutes. I don't think Bianca and I have ever seen him that excited, and stupid Dad got him that way right before bed. A few mobile songs and some dinner, however put him out. He slept until 6:00 AM. Whew! That was a close one. If he wouldn't have gone down, Dad would be in big trouble.

I couldn't think of a better way to spend a Saturday than with Bianca and Isaac, doing what we did.
