Resistance is Futile

So last night we were talking to Auntie Monica outside when it started raining. Isaac was very sad that we had to go inside so we explained to him that it was raining and that if he wanted we could go down in the workshop. He cheered up instantly.

When we went downstairs he gave Auntie Monica the full tour showing her all kinds of tools and telling everyone that he and his Dad are both "workers". It was very adorable. Finally, he said he had to pee. I grabbed him to make a dash upstairs when he howled in protest and pointed over to the slop sink in the basement. He said "P-Pa let me pee in there."  Bianca and I both doubted him, but he insisted and with the pee hold it clock running out of time, we decided to let he do it. We grabbed the stool and pulled down his pants and then it was off to the races. He peed into my shop slop sink for about three minutes (he has an amazingly strong bladder). When he stopped I grabbed some bleach and washed down the sink.

After we questioned him about whether or not he was allowed to do this and he insisted time and again that P-Pa had let him do it. Checking the story for holes we asked if Nanna had given him permission. He said Nanna was there and said it was okay and then he switched saying Nanna was upstairs. Seeing a potential weak spot, we decided to settle the argument by emailing P-Pa and Nanna.

Today we got these responses:

P-Pa

Guilty.....but we were working with our tools and he jumped up and grabbed his crotch and said he had to pee so rather than dealing with a trailingstream and wet pants I grabbed him and let him pee in the sink downstairs. You guys need a bathroom in the basement. That's my defense. Also, Nanna was complicit in the crime, she was there, too.

P-Pa

PS-we flushed the sink thoroughly to ensure it was clean after he wasfinished.

Nanna:

Oh Yes it is, much to my dismay!!!

It is totally hilarious what grandparents will do for their little guy.  It is not something we want to encourage, but it is really, really funny, both because of I-man's insistence and because of the grandparents being grandparents.

When it comes to I-man, his grandparents have no power to resist his cuteness.
