A Rare Moment
When you have two boys under the age of 6, quiet time is a rarity. Time when they are not only quiet but playing together is even more of a rarity. These days Isaac will be around the Lego table doing his thing when Ethan saddles up and starts pulled things apart. Isaac has been very good about not retaliating, but it is clear that this bothers Isaac. His shouts of "Beethan!" or "Come get Beethan!" are hard to ignore. Add to this the fact that Isaac has become acutely aware of when it's time for Beethan to go down for a nap on the weekends and we start getting a refrain of "Is it time for Beethan's nap?" around 9:30 AM.
But this weekend, with the weather clear and bright (though viciously cold) we got this:
It was a rare moment of inter-brother cooperation and enjoyment. The only fear I had was that Beethan was going to pop out of his seat, out of a desire to watch whatever Isaac is doing 100% of the time.
At the end of the day Isaac told us that he was glad we gave him a brother. We are so glad we have two good little boys. Even if this 20 seconds is unlikely to be repeated again until both are at college.
