Birthday Weekend Update 3
There is a surprise coming on Thursday, the actual birthday, a cool Internet surprise, nothing like "Isaac's getting a brother or sister, surprise" (I guess there could be that surprise too, but it would be a surprise to me and Bianca as well). Anyway, here are some really funny videos from the birthday weekend.

Here is the big moment:

And a little squeal of delight with the wagon:

Isaac needed some help with shredding the wrapping paper, which is odd because he shreds EVERYTHING:

And, mush Myles (look at his face of GRIM determination):

Lastly, the cousins interview, a Peanut Gallery exclusive full of big revelations:

Check back Thursday for the surprise.

Oh, and in case you missed it, the song I got stuck in Myles head on Sunday, which he then got stuck in everyone else's head was this:

I want cake
Lots and lots of cake
20 pounds of cake
I want cake
Lots and lots of cake
20 pounds of cake...

Well you see how it goes. Now imagine that OVER AND OVER AND OVER again with Myles and I singing in canon.

Birthday Weekend Update 2
So we had Dom and Nancy, John and Katie (who is great with kids, BTW), Dom, Erica, Myles, and Colby, and GG over for Isaac's birthday party. It was a lot of fun. Isaac and Dad splashed around in the shallow end of the pool (just foot dangling, not actually swimming). Myles, however, took a dip. Ambient temperature was about 75-80. Water was a SUPER CHILLY 58. Myles now holds the record in our pool for coldest dip up to the shoulders. I used to hold the record at 61 or 62. I knew I'd lose it to an actual kid eventually.

Here is some documentation of the all the fun.

John entertained his nephew with feats of strength:

and taught him how to deal with life in the slamma:

Isaac, meanwhile, wasn't all that impressed with cake:

He was impressed and possessive, however, with his wagon:

He also was very good at hanging on while his cousin Myles pulled his all around the neighborhood (Myles pulled him up two pretty big hills and the entire trip was a least a quarter of a mile and he let NO ONE else touch the wagon):

Something tells me that this last one is going to be a classic.

Video tomorrow.

Birthday Weekend Update 1
We are gearing up for the birthday party as I write this. Isaac is napping. I have just got back from errands. And Mom, sick as dog, is working through it to get things ready. She was much sicker two days ago, but still, she got wiped out with this one. This has given Dad a lot more Isaac time than normal over the past three days. Here is Dad and Isaac training for Acadia:

And here we are playing at the foot of the bed (CHECK HIM OUT!):

And finally, the latest rage in cinematography, the Mahout Cam:

More later.
