Slippery Rock
One of the days in Acadia we took Isaac down to the shore. He rode Mahout-style while Dad, Mom, and the Grandparents hiked down from the road about a mile. It was a pleasant enough hike, but by the time we reached the shore he was ready to get out of the backpack. We got him out and let him wander around a bit, some of us letting him wander a bit less:

than others.

Eventually we made our way to a couple of tide pools and Isaac, with G-Daddy's help, got on top of a big, black slimy rock. He tried to stand and couldn't, but noticed that the experience was a thoroughly exciting one and got busy with his moonwalking. It was totally hilarious to watch him slip sliding away. Here is a bit of the fun:

Always a Sailor, Never a Seaman
Isaac, Mom and Dad all trekked up to Acadia for a vacation with the Grandparents and Auntie Monica. It was an amazing week spend in an amazing house, hiking into amazing natural vistas. But the highlight of the week, for me, was getting Isaac in the kayak with me for a ride. The owners had left a nice, easy to use kayak in the side yard along with some life jackets and an oar. One day I took it out for a spin and instantly knew that the little guy would love to go with me. So the next day we suited up and unfortunately hit low tide. No matter how hard I tried I just couldn't get the kayak into the water. It got stuck on mud and rock and I was worried about Isaac tipping over. So we waited. And the next day, at high tide this time, we made it. Here we are:

New Tricks
Isaac is full of new tricks, tricks that weren't even imagined only a few weeks ago. I would post videos and pictures, but seeing as we are going to meet up with the grandparents and Auntie Monica next week, I think I will save them until then.

Get ready for a little magic show, he is amazing.
