Did you know that there was a REAL Johnny Appleseed?  And did you know that he was from right here in the heart of Massachusetts, Leominster being his hometown?

Well Isaac is not about to be outdone by some old fuddy duddy when it comes to loving apples.  After our trip to the orchard he has been apple crazy, in part because he gets to control the whole experience.  We peel it for him and then hand it to him for him to gnaw on.  Here is a picture from the orchard trip:

Isaac has recently become much better at sound effects (whew! I knew it was in there somewhere).  He has also become much better at matching sounds with the right animals.   Here is a little demonstration of his new skills:

Isaac has really taken to dinosaurs.  Every night before bed we read a little from his dinosaur encyclopedia with growls and roars.  He even has a little hand motion for certain dinos, like the parrot-beaked triceratops.  Remember him?

Yesterday he had a shirt on with a triceratops on it.  Every time he would remember he would point at the shirt and growl.  During breakfast he became a bit distressed when he realized that his bib was covering up the triceratops.  We had to remove the bib so he could see it and growl.  Then at Panera last night he would wander around the eating area, get people's attention, and then point at his shirt and growl.  It was super cute.
