Laugh Your Head Off
When mommy fell asleep one night this week, we snuck over to the computer and found a site that converted text into speech.  Invariably this led to us making the computer say hilarious things, most of which involved bathroom words (Mommy was sleeping, remember?).  Fortunately for me Isaac didn't say anything bad at school the following day, but get ready because this is pure hilarity:

Guys Hangin' Out
Last night Bianca had a function at Holy Cross and that meant I was the one that got to pick up the I-man.  It is rare that this happens and it meant that I was in the car for about 6 hours yesterday (1.5 to Concord, NH; 1 back to Nashua, 1.5 to Goddard; .75 back to Fitchburg, 1 driving around to courts), but it was totally worth it.

When I arrived Isaac was still napping and I decided it would be fun to have him wake up with me next to him, so I laid down on the floor and waited.  About five minutes later he woke up and he was genuinely happy to see me.  He snuggled in and just rested for a few minutes before we left Goddard.

On the way home we talked about voting, as it was election day.  It was interesting to hear him comment on voting and when we cast our ballots he watched and then stuffed them into the voting machine.

After a quick change of clothes we set off on an Isaac-created adventure--Panera (his choice), Chuck E Cheese (DEFINITELY his choice), then Toys R Us.  He had a bagel to eat, which is exactly what he wanted, and then we played games at Chuck E Cheese for about an hour.  After that we went and picked out a toy.  As a quick aside, I am really impressed at Isaac's ability to accept limitations in a toy store.  Another kid was flipping out over being told no and Isaac was fine with it.  We walked out with a Shredder action figure, so I know he was happy.

When we got home, he chatted with Nanna and P-Pa for a while and then took a bubble bath.  Isaac LOVES bubble baths. I put Isaac down, and he and I read the Gruffalo.  He was so good and the timing was perfect, as Bianca got home just in time to say good night.

It was a simple and fun day and one I hope to remember when he goes off to college.  I don't want to miss a single opportunity to spend time with I-man.

Knife Baby Onesy
Bianca has a friend, Beth.  Beth has a younger brother that has learning disabilities.  He and his friends go to a center and there they have a wide range of activities that they do.  Many of them are art projects.  One of Beth's brother's friend made this onesy:

I totally get that not everyone wants a Knife Baby Onesy, and fortunately Beth thought of me and decided to give the onesy to us.

Turns out she couldn't have picked a better person.  Not only do I love the onesy, I also like some of the knife designs on it.  There are few that look like kiridashis I have always wanted.  Apparently the onesy's designer caused something of a stir when he created the drawing, but frankly, as with most things knives I think folks overreacted and missed the point, both literally and figuratively.

So for all those out there that are afraid of tools, yes, all those people that have fancy chef knives from William Sonoma, don't be so judge-y.  Lots of perfectly normal people like knives.
