WHOA Daddy!
I have a flashlight addiction.  Its pretty acute.  But sometimes there are benefits to such an addiction, such as during a power outage.  But even the most thread beard electrical grid couldn't justify my addiction.  Instead, I justify it by doing things like this:

Those looks are all I need.

Its in the Blood
Well, as we go on, I see more and more of myself in Isaac.  The pyromania thing is pretty obvious.  Recently we have started taking things up a notch with our fire experiments.  Of course this also coincided with July 4th.  There are some new videos up including lots of playing with firecrackers (carefully).

But firecrackers like sparklers always lead to bigger things like fire itself (so to with water guns leading to using a hose).  Here is a video of Isaac fanning the flames, which he is good at doing both literally and metaphorically:

Isaac's love of doing this is super handy in the early stages of a fire, as it takes the kindling and makes it capable of sustaining the burn in larger pieces of wood.

But of course, this fanning the flames thing was not enough.  We had to step it up a bit and so we decided to make a fire tornado (curse you You Tube for making videos of things like fire tornadoes readily available).  Here we are:

That is a leaf blower combined with a fire pit and two excitable boys.  Don't worry we were VERY careful with this--Isaac was about twenty feet away.

Two Pictures Tell a Story
Sometimes it doesn't take much.  In these two pictures, we see Ethan watching his big brother explain how to eat food and Ethan's attempt at doing that.  Ethan's 5 months old so we are grading his success on a curve.

Picture 2: Ethan Tries it Out:

Not EXACTLY right, but again, we are grading on a curve.
